This course was originally called “Conveyancing for Typists”, but times have changed. Over the last few years, conveyancing typists and other legal assistants increasingly started to prefer being referred to as “paralegals”. That is why we added “paralegal” to the title of this course. Another interesting fact is that an increasing number of men are now also working in this field. From our point of view, the terms “conveyancing typist” or “secretary” are equally applicable to both male and female legal assistants.
This is the flagship course among our specialised courses for legal assistants (paralegals). It is also one of our oldest courses, dating back to 1999. Since that time, we have trained hundreds of conveyancing secretaries. The entire course was revamped in 2020. It remains a unique course, one of a kind.
You can now choose between two trajectories – one in transfers and the other in mortgage bonds. You'll be able to climb the ladder, one step at a time. Each level builds on prior learning, meaning that you will become more and more accomplished as you progress through the levels. But this also means that when you want to do a new level, all the lower levels in that trajectory are a prerequisite.
