About Luandi

"I'm currently a Candidate Attorney at PSN.  I hold an LLB degree and have developed strong discipline and time management skills by studying part-time while working full-time."

On enrolling at the Gawie le Roux Institute of Law

"I made use of the recorded sessions as my primary study option.  Since I was working full-time, the recordings were extremely beneficial as they allowed me to study at my own pace and revisit complex sections in my free time.  I used these recordings to prepare for the exam papers, which enhanced my understanding and helped me feel more confident and well-prepared for the board examinations.

The lecturer played a key role in my preparation by breaking down complex topics into simpler, more understandable concepts."

Luandi's study tips for the CBE

"One of the most effective study approaches is to focus on understanding the material rather than memorising it.  Instead of trying to repeat information like a parrot, it is important to grasp the underlying principles and how they apply in practice."

"Careful planning and consistent study habits helped me stay on track."

"If you fail a paper, don’t be discouraged.  Review where you went wrong, focus on understanding those areas, and try again with a stronger strategy."

Key lessons learnt so far

  • "One key lesson I’ve learned is the importance of not rushing.  Taking the time to do tasks properly and with accuracy leads to better results.
  • Secondly, consistency and discipline are essential for long-term success.
  • Lastly, I’ve learned the value of continuous learning and always seeking to improve my knowledge and skills."

Luandi's recommended reading for legal practitioners

"I recommend Letters to a Law Student by Nicholas J. McBride.  It provides practical guidance on how to think like an attorney and approach legal problems effectively."

What's next?

"To write the conveyancing exams.  I plan to prepare through Gawie le Roux’s conveyancing course."
