“I am currently serving my articles of clerkship at Manley Inc. Attorneys, a boutique law firm situated in Brooklyn, Pretoria, under the guidance of David Ralph Manley. Over the past four years, I have gained full-time experience in private practice, initially as a paralegal while pursuing my degree, and presently as a candidate attorney – managing and/or assisting in both litigious and non-litigious matters. My exposure includes litigation, commercial drafting, and corporate compliance."

Engaging meaningfully with clients
“I believe being able to speak various languages is of great importance, particularly in a multilingual society like South Africa. The ability to communicate and engage with individuals in their mother tongue, whether in a professional context or a public setting, fosters trust and promotes clear understanding.
I am of the view that these are necessary elements for effective legal representation and client confidence. Personally, my proficiency in isiXhosa has enabled me to engage meaningfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and build lasting relationships.”
What's next?
“I intend to write the competency-based examinations this coming August and, subject to the successful completion thereof, shall seek admission as an attorney at the commencement of 2026.
Upon my admission, I aim to continue practising within a litigation and/or commercial setting, with a view of developing into a well-rounded, versatile, and effective legal practitioner.”
